Professional Experience
Jordan Hoffman Acupuncture is a well-rounded clinical practice consisting of Acupuncture and Chinese medicinal herbs with nutritional and lifestyle counseling, bodywork, and a sincere desire to create a truly integrative medical practice by advocating closer ties and greater coordination between Western physicians and Chinese medicine practitioners. I specialize in Internal Medicine and Auto-Immune Disorders.

· April-July 2007 "Your Belly & You: An Integrative Approach to the health of your digestive system." Presentations took place at Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy in the Pacific Palisades, and Whole Foods Markets in the greater West LA area;
· April 2007 Pacific Palisades Health and Environment Fair;
· Over 10 years of experience in martial arts, yoga, meditation and nutrition;
· Taught numerous workshops in Sports Injury Treatment and Prevention, and Massage Stretching Techniques;
· Certified Massage Therapist since 1999;
· Treated over 450 patients at Emperor’s College Clinic and Venice Family Clinic;
· 2007-present: providing Pre & Post-Op Acupuncture care for patients undergoing Cosmetic Procedures;
· 2005-present: Acupuncture and Bodywork at Passages Malibu, a residential addiction cure center.

· Nationally Board Certified (NCCAOM) with Diplomate Status in Oriental Medicine including Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Biomedicine.
· First Aid and CPR, American Red Cross.

· Member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine since 2004.
· Licensed Massage Therapist in the City of Los Angeles.

Education

· Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4-year Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, June 2006.
· Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist since 1999 specializing in Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Thai Massage, Acupressure and Massage Stretching Techniques. Over 900 Education hours.
· Bachelor of Arts, University of California, Santa Barbara, 1994; Political Science, International Relations; Phi Beta Kappa with Honors.

Personal Interests

· First Degree Black Belt in two different styles of Aikido, a peaceful, non-aggressive Japanese martial art; over 10 years of study including 3 ½ years while living in Japan.
· Foreign languages: Japanese, Spanish, and Russian.

Yoga, meditation, traveling, hiking and pouring through textbooks on Western and Chinese medicine.
